Day 12: Cordoba - Good Friday

Today we started the at the Cordoba Alcazar. The Alcarzar has had many faces over the years including one that no one would expect, a jail for the Spanish Inquisition. Now the gardens and some sections of the wall have been restored.
After wandering the Alcarzar for a few hours we went to our new fav lunch closet, where you had the choice of 4 items. A family of four could eat for less than 10 euros. This is one hot sandwich shop, the chicken rotisserie faced into the front and was uncovered.  Check out the temperature where you ordered and paid.
Being Good Friday there were lots of Semana Santa processions.  We saw 4 plus part of a fifth.  We thought we should show the other people in the processions.
Tall candlestick guy
Fancy lantern carrier
Incense swinger.  We have noticed a couple of different types of incense, but they are actually pretty pleasant.
Wire lifter guys, notice the poles on either side.
Roman banner guy.
Candle lighter children.
On to Toledo tomorrow.
