Day thirteen: Toledo

We left  our beautiful patio in Cordoba to make our way to Toledo.
We went by duck train to Madrid.  The top speed we saw on the train was 290 km/hour. It took one and a half hours to get there, with a quick and somewhat confused train change we made a 30 minute trip to Toledo.  Toledo reminds us of Carcassone or Mont St. Michel being a fortified city on a hill.  It is surrounded on three sides by a river.
The two things to buy in Toledo are swords and marzipan.  I would say there is a store selling swords on every corner, but there are more than that. We took these photos of different stores by turning around.
We saw several people with these long cardboard boxes, it didn't take much detectiving to figure out what they were for.
The marzipan was beautiful and very tasty. It wasn't overly sweet.
Plus, it also comes in sword shapes.
